We’re a North Portland neighborhood with a lot of history and a ton of love.

The mission of the Historic Mississippi Avenue Business Association (HMBA) is to promote, develop, and preserve the North Portland business community as a desirable and vibrant place to work, shop, and live.

Every year, we put on special events like the Mississippi Street Fair, Giving Tuesday, Halloween Trick or Treat, Ice Cream Socials and the Holiday Tree Lighting as a fun way to foster connections as neighbors and community members, and give back to deserving local organizations like the Self-Enhancement Institute (SEI) and the Boise-Eliot School.

Want to know what’s going on in the neighborhood? Join the HMBA every 2nd Tuesday for our general business association meeting at Q Center from noon-1pm.
